Planned Giving

Estate and Planned Gifts

transLegal Name:
Chattanooga Symphony &
Opera Association
Tax ID Number:
62-6002098

We appreciate your interest in supporting the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera. Planned gifts provide a lasting connection, inspiring tomorrow's musicians and patrons with a guarantee that the CSO will continue to enrich the quality of life in the greater Chattanooga area by providing a variety of exemplary musical programs and productions, and nurturing the appreciation of music through education and out reach programs.

We value your partnership with us and trust the following information will be of value.

Planned Giving is any gift that requires an agreement between the donor and the CSO that authorizes what, when, and how a gift is given. Planned giving supports the CSO while also helping you achieve some of your personal, financial, and estate planning goals.

Examples of Planned Giving include:

  • Estate Plans, including trusts that provide income to you for life
  • Bequests
  • Gifts of Stock, other Appreciated Assets, Retirement Assets, Real Estate, and Life Insurance
  • Memorial Gifts
  • Endowment Gifts

Some of the gift arrangements are revocable and others cannot be changed once established. Some work better with cash and others with appreciated assets. There are many variations, enough so that a giving plan can be tailored to your needs, desires and capabilities.

To learn more about planned giving options, please visit How Can I...?, an excellent introductory page about a variety of planned giving opportunities and how you and CSO might benefit. Also, consider Planned Giving Factors, which provides some basic introductory information about the process of considering a planned gift.

Planned gifts are an excellent way to build the endowment at CSO. To learn more about endowment gifts, please vist the endowment gift page. If you wish to go directly to a planned gift option page, here are the various links:

If you have already included the CSO in your estate plans, please let us know by calling us or filling out our declaration of intention form. If you have not written a will yet, regardless of your charitable intent, please consider this.
