Planning a Gift

Partners for the Future

transparentAt California State University, Bakersfield, we have been fortunate to have as Partners for the Future many members of our community, past and present. CSUB has been the beneficiary of a number of generous people who, through their estate plans or during their lifetime, have established an endowment or a building fund. These funds actually change lives by helping people earn that all-important baccalaureate degree or making possible the facilities for university work. Unfortunately, in most cases, we did not know of this act of generosity until the donor's death. We never had the opportunity to say a proper thank you and recognize the gift.

As the University seeks to strengthen its future, we recognize the importance of bequests and trusts to the success of this effort. Charter members of Partners for the Future include all donors who have notified the CSUB Foundation of their intent to include the University in their estate plans. Additional Charter members include those living donors who have established an endowment with the CSUB Foundation.

Please review brief statements on our history and mission for both CSUB and the CSUB Foundation. We want to challenge you to partner with us in having a positive and significant impact on the lives of our students. Please return to our introduction to planned giving, learn more about the opportunities available to you and see how others have benefited by gift planning.
