We believe the rewards you will accrue through your generosity
will add up to much more than just your potential tax savings,
because in giving to the Zoo you help preserve and perpetuate
an important legacy of caring and concern about the natural world
for future generations.
There are as many different ways to support the Detroit Zoological
Society as there are needs for your support. But planning a gift
is more than just finding a need. There are a lot of factors to
consider. If you recently decided to investigate planned giving
as an option, you might want to take a moment to consider some
of the following factors.
Another reference tool for your use is our chart briefly describing
some of the charitable means that are available to you, How
Can I...?
Take a moment to see how people - perhaps in circumstances similar
to yours - have found ways to support the Detroit Zoo and in turn
enrich their lives while providing needed support to others. Names
and situations have been altered to preserve confidentiality.
Some examples are a composite of donor stories created to illustrate
an opportunity more clearly. Your personal circumstances will
determine the best planning strategy for you, and we are glad
to answer questions and offer suggestions in complete confidence.
