The third Annual Dr. F. H. McLeod Legacy Society Reception and Dinner was held on January 21, 2010. This annual event is held to honor the commitment of the Legacy Society membership and to welcome new members.

The membership was welcomed by McLeod Health President and CEO, Rob Colones. Special guest speaker was renowned architect, Benjamin Rook, Chairman and CEO of Design Strategies.  Mr. Rook invited members to view the model for the planned re-design of the McLeod Regional Medical Center campus.

This year  four new members were inducted by Thomas Richardson, Chairman of the McLeod Health Foundation Board of Trustees.  They include Dr. Lisa Bishara and Dr. Tarek Bishara, Gene Hall, Jumana Swindler, and John and Sandy Braddy.

Each member was presented with a replica of a statue, commissioned by a local artist, of Dr. McLeod with a child. Dr. McLeod's love of children and a tragic accident involving a young boy were the inspiration for Florence's first hospital, which has become McLeod Health.

This Society will be welcoming new members each year at their annual gathering. For more information on becoming a member please contact Jill Bramblett or Roxanna Tinsley at the McLeod Foundation 843-777-2694 or visit the Society web page.
