Create a Legacy
Legacy Giving
Giving through a will or living trust is easy to arrange (see Bequest
Language below), and it can help carry Memphis Union Mission’s
ministry to the needy well into the future. Legacy giving, also known
as gift planning, enables you to leave a legacy and perpetuate your values.
You
can specify a portion of your assets to go to the Mission, and your arrangements
may be changed any time you choose. You may also designate your gift toward
a specific part of Memphis Union Mission, including our endowment
fund.
Other gift options provide tax benefits now and even income for life and the life of a beneficiary as well. These types of gifts are generally irrevocable. If you are not familiar with the concepts and strategies of charitable gift planning, you might want to take a moment to look at our chart briefly describing some of the charitable means that are available to you - see How Can I...? And, you can click the link below to learn more about gift planning and to meet people who made gifts and why they did.

The Stroud-Pettit Society
The Stroud-Pettit Society honors friends who have made a bequest to Memphis
Union Mission. As a member, you can know that your generosity will perpetuate
this ministry, which began in 1945.
If you have included Memphis Union Mission in your estate plans, please
let us know so that we can recognize your contribution and make certain
your intentions will be carried out. You can use our estate
intention form.
If you have not written a will yet, regardless of your charitable intent, please consider this, for it is a gift to your loved ones.
Please feel free to change the numbers or percentages as you desire. If you already have a will, A codicil is a written change or amendment to a will. Click here for a printable copy of what a codicil would look like. Please remember to consult your attorney to make sure you are properly advised. It may also be helpful to have our tax identificant number (TIN) - 62-0541811.
