conteThere are several key areas that we will want to focus on for the immediate future. One of the great benefits of gift planning is that we can work together as partners to focus your support on our needs that are most important to you. We look forward to working with you.
Capital
Expenses
Planned gifts allocated toward capital expenses could be used for some
of the following projects:
- Some of our facilities, including Calvary Colony and the Men's Emergency Shelter, are in need of repair from extensive use and need to be expanded to serve more needy people.
- Other parts of the ministry, including Monah House, will eventually need to be expanded.
- New ministries, including an education program for the men at Calvary Colony, are needed in order to better serve our clients.
- The Mission regularly needs to address capital expenses such as trucks, vans, and other transportation needs, as well as computer equipment.
Endowment Fund
We would like to increase the size of our endowment, which would provide
Memphis Union Mission with extra money with which to operate the ministry
to the hungry and homeless.
Operating Expenses
Gifts could also simply be allocated for operating expenses, allowing
Memphis Union Mission to minister to the daily physical, spiritual, and
emotional needs of the homeless and hungry.
